Risk Assessment whole site August 2021

Dear parents and carers,

I hope you have had a lovely break and you have managed to enjoy the more relaxed situation.

Please note the requirements on the link below if you are returning from holiday from an amber listed country before attending the school site if you are fully vaccinated and if you are not.

I am writing to confirm arrangements for the new term which are fairly straightforward, you will be pleased to know. I have attached the updated risk assessment.

Breakfast Club (from 8am), After School Care Club (until 5.30pm) and the Walking Bus will start from Wednesday 25th August .

All Year 1 to Year 6 children will start school on Wednesday 25th August. Children should be in class for 8.50am and should all be accompanied by parents to the classroom door unless Year 5 and Year 6 parents have signed the walk to school alone form.
Nursery and Reception children will start on Wednesday 1st September. Nursery morning session 8.45am -11.45am. Nursery afternoon session 12.15pm -3.15pm. Nursery full day 8.45am -3.15pm. Reception children 8.50am -3.10pm.

From Monday 6th September Year 5 and Year 6 children can attend school from 8.30am for extra support and reading practice.
All Year 1 to 6 children will finish school at 3.15pm and should be collected from the classroom door unless Year 5 and Year 6 parents have signed the walk home from school alone form.

At present there will be no meeting points elsewhere on site for safeguarding and Covid reasons.

Covid is still with us so we would be very pleased if all parents and pupils could cooperate with the following to reduce the chance of the spread of the virus and keep all children and staff in school:

·         Parents please remain on site for as short a time as possible when dropping off and picking up

·         Please try to remain socially distanced from other family groups when dropping off, picking up or when waiting at the office.

·         If you need to communicate with staff, do so outside and or wear a mask or phone the office and ask the teacher to phone you.

·         Children should not bring anything in from home apart from PE kit, book bag with reading book. All stationary will be provided.

After such a disrupted 18th months, please ensure your child benefits fully by arriving at school on time, attends school unless too poorly to do so and does not lose teaching time due to holidays taken in term time .

Please ensure your child wears school uniform and has a PE kit. School will provide a blue polo shirt but you need to provide trainers and/or plimsolls, shorts/leggings and warmer outer wear for colder weather when PE is outside.

Your child is encouraged to walk, scoot or cycle to school rather than come in the car. Your child must be accompanied unless parents of Y5 and Y6 children have signed the walk to school form.  If you arrive in the car, please park safely.

Any questions, please e mail

Or phone the office after 11am on 23rd August or after 9am on 24th August.

We look forward to seeing you all very soon.
