Year 3

Massed choir De Montfort Hall

The Year 3 choir sang beautifully at De Montfort Hall as part of the Leicestershire schools’ massed choir. They were the youngest pupils there and represented the Stokes Wood proudly. They then sang for parents at school and for the Abbey Care Home residents.

Camping at Ullesthorpe

Year 3 staff and pupils enjoyed an evening, camp overnight and a day’s outdoor activities at the end of June this year. It was a great opportunity and experience for everyone, enjoying simple games in the woods, like hide and seek; forest school activities, art and crafts, putting up tents, campfires and generally being more independent. It was a really good two days and all year 3 children took part in at least some of it.

TAG Rugby

Mr Sorby, Mrs Freeman and Mr Driver took  a a large group of Year 3 children to play Tag Rugby at South Leicestershire Rugby Club as part of a Leicester Tigers healthy living project. As you can see, they had great fun as well as learning lots of new skills . They are looking quite good... maybe some future Tigers players amongst them.
