Year 3

Seagrave Training Ground

Mr Sorby took a team of Year 3s to the Leicester City Seagrave training ground. What an experience and of course great fun!

Camping Trip

The Year 3 children went on their annual camping trip. As usual Mr Sorby and his team played a trick on the children about putting up tents bits missing!!. However as usual the children had an absolutely amazing time and loved every minute. The teachers can’t wait till next year 😊

Skipping Challenge

The Year 3 children took part in the skipping challenge to raise money for Leicester Children’s Holiday Homes, a charity which provides holidays for children not as lucky as most of us. The charity also supports schools with funding for school trips. The children did so well. They got better and better as they practised and as you can see really enjoyed it! Well done everyone!

Mandir Visit

As part of the Year 3 RE lessons, children are learning about the Hindu faith. The Year 3 pupils and staff visited the Mandir Hindu temple. They were able to look at the artefacts, ring the bell, sing and dance. They were made to feel very welcome and learning on location is much more interesting!

Stone Age Day

The children took part in shelter building to experience how the people in the Stone Age would use sticks and stones to make tools and build shelters. They also made necklaces and other jewellery and artefacts out of clay. They also experienced archery.

Dance workshops with the DMU

Year 3 children were able to work with dance students from the DMU in January. They composed dances linked to their Literacy lessons on the Creation.

Determination Event

A group of Year 3 children attended this event and as you can see had great fun and showed real determination in developing their tennis skills.

Shared reading

Mrs Ciftci delivered a shared reading lesson to Year 3 pupils and parents. The aim of the lesson was not only to teach the children but also to support parents in helping their children with their reading. We were all very grateful to parents for giving their time to attend.
