A visit from a Stone Age man
In early October, Stokes Wood 3 children had a visit from a Stone Age man . As you can see by the photos, he was happy to share his animal furs and the children tried them on. They also learned about the stone tools he brought with him. During the morning the children talked about how the Stone Age man evolved over many thousands of years from an ape like creature to an upright man or woman . Apart from being interesting and informative, it was great fun too.
Year 3 Health and Wellbeing event
30 children enjoyed an active day at Beaumont Leys Secondary School in September. They learned all about keeping themselves physical fit as well as emotionally well and had a great time whilst doing it.
Massed choir De Montfort Hall
The Year 3 choir sang beautifully at De Montfort Hall as part of the Leicestershire schools’ massed choir. They were the youngest pupils there and represented the Stokes Wood proudly. They then sang for parents at school and for the Abbey Care Home residents.
